Asphyxiation Point Photography Contest


Its almost Autumn at Asphyxiation Point !

The changing of seasons brings with it its own moods, celebrations, and change in scenery. So please help us capture the essence of summer at Asphyxiation Point before it is too late.

To celebrate the same, we are giving away over 10000L worth of cash prizes. Winning entries will be displayed at the Asphyxiation Point theater at the end of the contest.

Themes :
  • Landscape photography : Summer at Asphyxiation Point
  • Subject photography : Dark Side to Asphyxiation Point

Prizes :
Winning under one theme DOES NOT disqualify you from the other. So please consider submitting under both themes. The prize money for each theme is as follows :
  • 1st Place:  L$3,000
  • 2nd Place: L$1,500
  • 3rd Place:  L$750

Contest Rules :
  • All photos must be previously unpublished & shot during the contest time-frame.
  • All Pictures must be taken at Asphyxiation Point. Custom windlights, filters, post-processing and editing are allowed.
  • No limit to the number of photos you may submit, but each photo may be submitted against only one theme.
  • Suggestive and sexual photos are allowed but must be tagged moderate before submitting to group. No full frontal nudity.
  • You acknowledge that Asphyxiation Point may modify and use your submitted image(s) for promotional purposes.

Submission Guidelines :
Photos must be submitted via Flickr and added to the Asphyxiation Point’s photo pool. You will need to join as a member first.
In addition to your own title and whatever description you wish to provide, the description MUST contain the following :
Judging criterion :
  • Submitted images will be judged on originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact and artistic merit.
  • Asphyxiation Point is a Roleplay SIM. Pictures that tell a story / convey moods and emotions will be preferred.
  • Members of the Asphyxiation Point Administration Team are not eligible to win prizes.
  • All decisions made by the judges are final.

Tips :
  • Please ensure you do not break visual immersion on SIM. Human avatars in Urban clothing only.
  • Asphyxiation Point is an active Roleplay SIM. It has its own backstory which may help set the mood for you.
  • In case you are approached by someone in local while shooting, IM them back and inform them you are not in RP.
  • Please join the Asphyxiation Point group if you wish to be notified about events / rain on SIM.
  • Visiting during the morning SLT / on weekdays may be a good idea in case you find yourself lagging.
