Roleplay Rules
1. Turn-based paragraph roleplay.
2. Limits encouraged but enforced via negotiation in IMs.
3. No godmodding, powergaming, metagaming and other breaches of roleplay etiquette.
4. Please get permission from homeowner prior to entering private rentals.
5. NPCs, cameras, wire taps, hacking etc. must be negotiated via RP or IMs with all affected parties.
6. Disputes over ongoing roleplay should be negotiated via IMs. A moderator will mediate if you are unable to agree.

- Please wait your turn. Allow everyone else in the scene to post before you post again.
- If the post order is unclear, ask in (( )) in local chat. eg. (( what's the post order? ))
- Please wait a full round of posts before posting into roleplay in progress.
2. Limits encouraged but enforced via negotiation in IMs.
- Please note that adult themes such as violence, rape, forced sex are allowed on SIM.
- Do not expect other roleplayers to be aware of your limits even if it is posted in your profile.
- Please IM and negotiate with the other roleplayer if the RP drifts in a direction you are not comfortable with.
- Admins will not enforce your personal limits. If no solution can be found, please leave the RP in question.
- Please note that a long list of limits or changing your limits over time might discourage people from roleplaying with you.

5. NPCs, cameras, wire taps, hacking etc. must be negotiated via RP or IMs with all affected parties.
- Existence of a prop doesn't automatically mean that it is in working order.
- Even if a physical prop is absent, it may be put into RP via emotes.
- If you wish for a scene to be observed by cameras, wire taps etc, emote it explicitly so that the other party may respond.
- If you do not RP it when the other person has a chance to respond, negotiate what was captured in IMs afterwards.
6. Disputes over ongoing roleplay should be negotiated via IMs. A moderator will mediate if you are unable to agree.
- If faced with roleplay / storyline that you have an issue with, please lay out your concern in a polite IM to the other party.
- Once the concern has been identified and recognized, try to negotiate an outcome both of you can agree with.
- If you are unable to reach a successful resolution, please contact an available moderator.
- Failure to cooperate with the moderator may result in temporary loss in roleplay privileges.
