Hailing from the mainland, Jennie had been a school teacher for the past five years prior to coming to Asphyxiation Point. "But I love new challenges and so I'm very happy to have been given the opportunity to come work for The Times."
When she was younger, Jennie had volunteered for her high school paper, "The Wingspan". That experience, along with her skills of a photographer, makes her a welcome addition to our small Island publication.
"I have been taking pictures forever and I enjoying trying to capture that perfect moment. I especially love taking shots of people, either candid or portraits, and my work was once exhibited at a Winter Fair exhibition." Though she goes on to say that no-one bought any of her pieces that time, it didn't stop her from continuing to do what she loved.
Jennie's work can currently be found through Instagram and Snapchat, as well as on future pages of The Times.
Here's to seeing more of it soon!
