A crowd in shimmering gold and black took a gamble Sunday on the grand opening of the Point's new casino, The Castle, 10 Third Street. Jackpot for those who turned out, because, as it turns out, you don't have to have a penis to have a good time there.
The Castle is the newest project of owner Mr. Isaac, who says he wanted to create an entertainment destination that bridges Upper and Lower towns. He succeeded, finding a bright spot above Above the Belt for his brooding new building.
Owner Mr. Isaac adds, "I just want people to enjoy themselves."
The guest list included some local emergency responders who didn't have to respond to a thing; the new dispensary weed guy; Ms. AP; some doctors and lawyers and such; some people who work in the Red Light district; and many, many more.
Even Mr. Sav, of Club Climax fame, stumbled in to toast Mr. Isaac's the venture.
Guest Ms. Tisha, who works with Mr. Sav, adds, "The casino seems like a welcome addition to Point nightlife, with unique decor, good drinks, and amiable staff. The slots were not as loose as one might hope for an opening night, but everything else was impeccable."
Guest Ms. Nikki says, "I had a wonderful time at the grand opening. I watched people win money and I didn't lose any, so it was a win-win for me." Nikki praised the drinks and the potential benefit of bringing tourist dollars to the island. And the boon to local lenders.
