Chief Renfold has previous experience in the US Navy where he was a paramedic and a firefighter, as well as having worked with police in an urban city in Michigan, earning the rank of Detective. His notable accomplishments in his career so far include the arrest of a serial killer wanted on federal and state charges, and numerous medals of honor from the Navy for saving his team after helicopter crash among other rescues.
While the female members of the Fire Department who were present at the time of Chief Renfold's promotion had joked that they wanted to see an all-female department, any and all citizens are more than welcome to apply or volunteer to assist however they may. If you are interested, please stop by the APFD in the Theater District. Chief Renfold states, "We are currently planning an official Meet & Greet for this Saturday. We wish to officially extend the planning and cooking efforts to Chief DeSanta at the police department as well as his crew to make the event a memorable one for the city. This fire department is AP's department, and we are here to serve you all."
When asked about these plans, and if anything was in place for a possible September 11th memorial to honor fallen comrades given the coincidence of the date, Renfold went quiet. "We would instead ask that citizens of AP take a moment of silence in honor of our fallen comrades, but as we wanted to celebrate, we had chosen the meet and greet instead. All are welcome, we just ask that you leave your troubles at home." Sounds like it will be a fun event indeed.
