One resident, Assistant District Attorney Dorian Kroll, had been enjoying himself and mingling with the crowd when a stranger appeared from the throng of people. Witnesses say they heard the man accuse the A.D.A. of stealing his wife. Before Mr Kroll could respond he had been shot by the assailant.
APPD Chief DeSanta and Sergant Baifra apprehended the man immediately and Dorian was rushed to nearby Asphyxiation Point Hospital in critical condition. Authorities later identified the shooter as Lucian Richard Jones.
The AP Times contacted the wife of Dorian Kroll, Morgana, via telephone in an attempt to get her statement. She was able to verify that the man who shot her husband was, indeed, known to her.
"Lucian is from my past. He is obsessed with the idea of us being together. My father and mother love him." she said in her interview. She was emotional, but went on to say, " I want to make him pay, but he always finds a way to get free. Always." Mrs. Kroll expressed that she was concerned for her safety when it came to Lucian Jones and says she was fleeing him when she moved to The Point. Morgana told the Times it was an accidental release of information by a family member that led the the man to finding her in AP.
"I'm still processing everything. it seems like a horrible nightmare that just keeps getting worse as the days go by. I just want Dorian." she told the Times. At the time of this printing sources say Mr. Kroll is currently in a coma.
