District attorney Madison Monroe called to 911 after seeing a body on the beach last week. Ms. Monroe reported the man, later identified as Devonoux Asura, looked to be barely alive and requested police and an ambulance services. Asura had been wrapped in plastic and chained to a standing beach structure. When Asura was examined by the EMT he appeared to be highly drugged and unconscious. He had been stripped of all his clothing and suffering from blood loss from his injuries as well as any sickness related to him being deserted out on the beach in the cold weather. Asura was rushed to APH where he was admitted for several days but has been released to his home and is under the care of friends and family while he attempts to recover from what can only be called a horrific incident.
In related incidents, Bethann Causten, who is an assistant in the DA’s office, called in to the APPD the next day reporting a break in to her residence. Although no items were reported missing the person left a present of jars of blood on her kitchen counter for her to find. We assume is the missing blood from her boyfriend and roommate, Devonoux Asura. At this point, Causten is concerned the events of Asura’s abduction could be related to her position within the court system since she is also perhaps being stalked.
APPD was called again regarding noises from Causten’s apartment just yesterday when a shopper at Pandora’s Box heard a noise sounding like a body falling and a cry out for help. APPD found Causten outside of the residence waving her gun around and a suspect, Roran Karu, escaping around the back alley close to Sen Corp from her apartment. The man was detained by police. AP Press did obtain a statement from Police Chief Warwick DeSanta regarding the incident and investigation on Asura’s abduction where he stated, “We are pursuing a number of positive leads and are making good progress with the case. Can’t really say more at this time”. Since Roran Karu was detained by the police we can only assume from this statement the second break in was perhaps unrelated to the abduction and the suspect involved is still at large.
