AP, Bangor, ME. - Responding to a frantic call to 911, the police arrived at Diamond Estate, and discovered the dead body of forty-five year old Alexis Diamond, the apparent victim of a homicide. Police on the scene confirmed that the victim died of an apparent gun shot would to the chest, and had apparently been dead for several days. The body was discovered by a young woman who identified herself as the victim's niece, Karisma Diamond, "She had came here to get some rest after something had happened last Sunday at her business on Apshyxiation Point.. I had not heard from her for a few days, so came to check on her, and found her dead." From what this reporter could uncover, the victim owned a computer dating service there, and during a street party hosted by the victim, a shooting occurred. It was while the local police were interviewing the niece that the FBI showed up, and took control of the scene. They ordered all local law enforcement to leave, as well as members of the press, and took Miss Nikita into custody. This reporter later made contact with an agent who would only speak under the condition of anonymity. "We believe this murder to have been carried out by a professional hit man," my source told me. Apparently, Ms. Diamond had been the subject of nearly fifteen year investigation into money laundering, human trafficking, and even murder. "While the victim had apparently retired several years ago, it is possible that she either kept one foot in her old business, or someone she may have crossed might have found her. At this time, we will be looking into several leads." the source confirmed.
Public records show Ms. Diamond purchased the beautiful estate where she was found about three years ago and had maintained a low profile in the area. Interviews with several local residents and business owners indicate that she was a person who liked her privacy, and was rarely seen outside her estate.
Several questions will need to be answered about this ghastly crime, not the least being who exactly is the niece who found the body. No records could be discovered that Ms. Diamond had any living relatives, and no Karisma Diamond fitting the description of the niece could be found. And with her currently in FBI custody, the answer may not be forthcoming in the near future. When I asked my source about her identity, he refused to comment, saying only that she is being treated as a witness, and is not a suspect.
At this time, there is no information as to a funeral, but this reporter will keep his eyes and ears open, and as new developments occur, they will be reported.
