The police department finally made some headway yesterday when they found two missing woman who had been taken and terrorized. AP Press had been following the story recently of Candice Cain who went missing after an event this past weekend. She was discovered Wednesday evening at the top of the lighthouse by the police department where she had been held against her will.
Earlier that day, Maggie Firebrand was discovered as well. Firebrand was a more miraculous discovery as we were told by Police Chief Warwick DeSanta, she had been missing for over two months. DeSanta stated this evening, "There. Good news. Curtesy ah the APPD." as he gave a casual statement to the press and was seemingly proud of the team’s efforts today.
As if there wasn't enough good news, the woman they believe to have taken both victims and held them has been taken into custody. Zoe Azariah has been arrested by the police this evening by a stroke of luck really as she happened to be sitting in the lobby of the police station for some time without bothered. Zoe Azariah was seen talking casually to the visitors of the station for over an hour before she was arrested. She appeared calm and non-threatening perhaps that is why the rookie officer did not realize there was a wanted person mingling in the visitor’s area with citizens matching her presumed MO for assault victims.
Azariah stated her innocence after she was cuffed by the police officers by saying to the press, "Here's your evidence of police making bullshit arrests without a shred of evidence to harass citizens trying to do the right thing!" Zoe Azariah had stated to the police she had come to the station to have her ankle bracelet repaired and adamantly refuses to admit any involvement in the kidnappings.
Now that Zoe Azariah has been arrested, all eyes are on DeSanta and the district attorney’s office. Will the police department along with the district attorney’s office have the evidence to build a case against Azariah? Will this arrest put a dent in the rising crime in the city? Are the police department finally in a position to put tabs on the crime spree raping our street? Or will Azariah be found as innocent as she claims? Only time will tell as the case unfolds.
